Black Japan is a durable timber floor coating that can be used in homes with ample sunlight. Whilst it has previously been an interior-only coating, it now comes in an exterior deck version as well. It is heat-resistant but softens at temperature above 70C.
This floor coating has excellent water resistance, it remains unaffected by water spillage.
Some of the Black Japan floor coatings have anti-termite andanti-fungal properties, but you need to check the specific brand, because the properties of floor coatings from different manufacturers are different.
This is an oil-based translucent coating that is made of turps-based polyurethane mixed with a black stain.
Not really. As Black Japan starts to wear it can give a brown appearance. Also if full coverage is not achieved it gives a brown appearance. Perhaps it is the depth that makes the black colour in the house so chic.
